A Bad-ass Carnival is Coming to Town

It’s going to be wickedly good — unlike the Carnival from Bradbury’s “Something Wicked This Way Comes” — which was wickedly bad!

The Lupulin Carnival is this Saturday, March 3rd, from 2-6pm.  It promises to be a real “barn burner” as 4 Hands Brewery releases and celebrates War Hammer – a super strong, super delicious, Imperial IPA, made from Pacific Northwest Hops.

I was lucky enough to get a small taste of this beer earlier this week and I can’t wait for a larger taste on Saturday.  It’s going to bring the hammer down.

The Carnival celebrates Lupulin – the “bitter, yellowish powder found on glandular hairs beneath the scales of the flowers of the female hop plant” (Merriam-Webster); it is one of the ingredients that gives beer its aroma and flavor.

Come celebrate this little yellowish powder with me this Saturday.  Tickets are still available, but you better act fast!

Tickets are $35, which includes great local beer tastes, a tasting glass, and crazy local acts.  Tickets can be purchased at the tasting room located at 1220 South 8th Street or by calling 314.436.1559.

Food trucks (the all important ingredient in beer drinking longevity) — I know Chop Shop will be there (love the Chop Shop) and others (I’ll let you know as I find out more).

There’s also an after party – What?!  Pace Yo-self!

See you at the Carnival!

Hoppy Endings!
